SEPTEMBER VIP 2022

LEADERSHIP

Patty Ashbrook, General Manager / COO Mike Cahill, Board President Hello everyone;

At this time I’m proud to announce that our four candidates for the four open Board of Director seats are:

The big Labor Day weekend with all of its festivities is rapidly approaching…and I guess by the time you read this it will actually be here! As is typical every year it seems the season just speeds by and we wonder where the months have gone. Thankfully we have had a more normal experience this year with COVID becoming less of a life altering factor. Easier tee times, no masks..Yea! Speaking of speeding, I’m happy to report that our new speed enforcement policy is resulting in dramatically fewer violations as time goes by. Don’t forget that control of speeding was the number ONE request by members in last years member survey. And to reiterate, this policy is completely safety related. The Board and Leadership team would prefer to have zero revenue from this activity.Thanks to everyone for watching your speed! After all, and to the astonishment of some members, these speed limits have been in existence for 35 years! One of the events that takes place over Labor Day weekend is the annual Town Hall meeting, which this year takes place on Saturday, September 3rd at 3PM in the Canyon clubroom. This is the opportunity for the membership to meet the candidates for the open seats on the Board of Directors, see a review of the financial position of the Club (we’re in good shape!), chat about the status of projects planned or underway around the Club, and ask questions about pretty much anything. We would certainly like to see a big turnout live at the Canyon, however this meeting will also be live streamed if you’re hanging out on the deck and would prefer to be outside. One way or the other, please take this opportunity to learn about how the Club is functioning, and who will be on the Board making decisions into the future.
