We were excited for this addition in 2022 but after further reviews with Play it Safe Playgrounds and the playground construction company, we were informed in February of this year that we are not able to build any additional structures in the current Playground footprint. We didn’t let this deter us; it appears that there may be some land around the current structures that we might be able to use but we are not certain until we get the land surveyed. We will be conducting a Land survey in May to determine if there is usable space that the Club owns for any new structures at the Bear Howard “Sand Castle” Park.

Other Capital Projects: (The plan is to have all of the capital projects for the Club updated on the website this year)
• Dog Park - The project involving the addition of grass to the dog park has begun and should be ready to enjoy by May 20. • Pickleball nets - The Douglass nets have been ordered and will be
available when the Season begins. • Road Maintenance - Complete
• Tennis parking area - The new asphalt has been laid in the parking area. We will continue looking at improving the area around the parking area as well. • Mailroom road widening - Complete • Meadow Pool Deck enhancement - This project will start in early May and is planned to be finished by the time the pool opens on May 27. • Spa Room Enhancements - Two new massage beds have been purchased along with a new massage chair, and they all arrived in April. In addition, we purchased some nice new decor, linens, and sheets, and we are having a new cabinet installed for additional storage. We have opened it up as much as we are able to make it feel more spacious. • Fitness Center Upgrades - As per member feedback after the 2021 re- model, we ordered a few additional pieces of equipment, and they arrived in April. These pieces include another functional trainer (cable machine), a new back extension and Concept 2 rowing machine, a preacher curl, and additional weight plates. • Fitness Classroom - As the Reformer Pilates program continues to grow, the need was apparent for a few add-ons to the machines, in addition to replacement items. These have arrived and been installed. Our spin bikes were 6 years old and also in need of replacement. These have arrived and been assembled. Members are already enjoying the upgrades to all of this great new equipment in the Flex Room.
