With your ongoing support, I’m confident that together, we can make it a year filled with extraordinary experiences. One of the key ways we achieve this is by analyzing last year’s end-of-year survey data. FOREST HIGHLANDS COMMUNITY FIRE SAFETY

OUR COMMITMENT TO FIRE SAFETY Forest Highlands has been a nationally recognized Firewise community for over 20 years, one of only three in Arizona to achieve this distinction. Fire safety is a top priority, and through tree thinning, fuel removal, and controlled burns, we have significantly reduced wildfire risks. One major accomplishment was our selection for the Firewise "Sites of Excellence" program (2019-2021), a national initiative that strengthened fire safety measures in our most vulnerable areas. This success was made possible by the collaboration of our Firewise Committee, Highlands Fire District, Bear Jaw Wildfire Crew, and community members.

HOW YOU CAN HELP To maintain a fire-resilient community, members are encouraged to take proactive steps, including: • Removing dead trees, dried grass, and debris • Clearing roofs, gutters, and maintaining defensible space • Storing firewood 30 feet uphill from structures • Thinning dense tree stands and removing fuel ladders

Annual Firewise Property Assessments are conducted on a rotating five-year cycle. However, homeowners are encouraged to complete fire mitigation work annually before fire season. To schedule a property evaluation, contact Forest Highlands Security at 928-525-9090. The Concierge Department (928-525-9792) can also assist with Firewise compliance.

STAY INFORMED & PREPARED • Annual Firewise Day: Join us July 4th during the community BBQ to meet Highlands Fire District and learn more about fire safety. • Watch Duty App: Stay updated on nearby fire activity in real time. We appreciate your continued efforts in keeping Forest Highlands safe and fire-ready. By working together, we ensure our community remains secure for generations to come.

Wyndham Cup - American Junior Golf Association AJGA Monday, July 7- Thursday, July 10 Junior AM, Monday, July 7- 8:30am Shotgun

Since 1990, the Wyndham Cup annually brings together the nation’s top 40 juniors in an East-versus-West team match play tournament. The top boys and girls east of the Mississippi River compete against their counterparts from the west. Similar to the Ryder Cup or Solheim Cup, scoring is based on a point system with 50 total points available over the three days of competition. One point is awarded for each match won and half a point is given to each team for matches that end in a tie. As a result, it is possible that matches may be won prior to the 18th hole. A team needs 25 ½ points to win the Wyndham Cup. Should the championship end in a tie, the team that currently holds the Cup (West Team) would retain the Wyndham Cup. The event is highlighted by the team camaraderie and spirit generated by the juniors and Team Captains. We encourage members to play in the Junior Am on Monday. You will be playing with one of the AJGA juniors. Register as a foursome or individually, we will pair you with others. Registration opens May 1.
