APP BENEFITS

The primary duty of the Handicap Committee is to "enhance the enjoyment of the game of golf and to give as many players as possible the opportunity to… compete, or play a casual round, with anyone else on a fair and equal basis."Toward that end we have partnered with Cap Patrol to perform peer review of all of our members. Cap Patrol has become a tool used across the industry to aid Handicap Committees in managing this often-challenging responsibility. The Cap Patrol system uses a proprietary algorithm that takes into consideration many factors including: • A players’ potential or ability in recent play and tournament rounds • Variance in home vs. away performance

Cap Patrol is free. You’ll only need to download the app and have your GHIN number to get started.

Benefits to members: • An easier way to keep track of your current play and how you have played in the past. • Built in games for you and fellow members. See how others have been playing recently and set up the most competitive teams, odds and more. • Track and compare your play at home, away, in tournaments and more. • With features like ‘Hot Index’, ‘Last 3’ and ‘Clutch %’, it adds a fun, social component to your golfing.

• Disparity in casual vs. competitive scores reported • Placement in club sponsored tournaments/events

Cap Patrol works with hundreds of clubs, monitoring hundreds of thousands of golfers spanning millions of rounds and utilizes this intelligence to promote integrity in the game of golf. Cap Patrol provides our staff and Handicap Committee with objective data to manage an issue that can affect the culture of a club if unaddressed. Cap Patrol also has been able to harness all the data to create a fun and interesting FREE APP for all members. The app is customized for Forest Highlands Golf Club. You can download the Cap Patrol App by searching for “Cap Patrol” at the App store on your device. You will need your GHIN number and a valid email address to log in. I would encourage you to download the app, as many members have commented on the value they have experienced with the features and benefits contained in the app. As a valued member we are constantly looking to ways to enrich your experience with Forest Highlands Golf Club and our partnership with Cap Patrol is very helpful toward that end.
