LEADERSHIP
Dave Stearns, Board President Doug Sutter, General Manager/COO
Now that we are through the extreme heat of the summer and our welcomed monsoon rains have arrived, I would like to take a moment to reflect on the incredible summer season we’ve enjoyed so far. From all that I have seen during my first year here at Forest Highlands, it’s clear that 2024 has been a year filled with sophisticated fun and strong community spirit. In this month’s message, I am thrilled to share highlights from our vibrant summer season, commend the diligent efforts of our Board and Committees, update you on important capital projects, build excitement for our Foundation’s recent success, and once again express my deepest gratitude for your consistent participation in our events and amenities. The summer of 2024 has been nothing short of exciting and filled with memorable events. From lively holiday family barbecues to elegant wine dinners, along with enjoying superior golf course conditions to competitive points played on the newly resurfaced courts, there has been something for everyone to enjoy. I have also learned from many families, who enroll our younger members in our youth summer camp programs, that our recreation team has done a tremendous job fostering friendships between our young members and providing unique experiences for all in attendance. Thus, regardless of the members’ age, it’s been a joy to see so many smiling faces and hear the genuine laughter echoing through our beautiful paradise in the pines as we continue to bring the members of our community closer together. Our dedicated Board of Directors and Committee members deserve positive recognition and praise for their tireless efforts to enhance every aspect of our Forest Highlands community. I can say from firsthand knowledge that their commitment to continuous improvement to assure we remain a premier destination for relaxation and recreation is undivided. This is proven by their dedication to refining our amenities and policies as needed while focusing on one common goal, to simply do what is best for Forest Highlands. Both the current members of these distinguished member groups along with those who have previously served have been instrumental in creating the exceptional environment and club culture we all cherish. Transitioning into capital projects, I am pleased to report that we are in the midst of completing our 500,000-gallon potable water tank project (located on Canyon Course hole #2), a vital enhancement for our community infrastructure. This project represents our ongoing commitment to bolstering our community’s sustainability and resource management and we hope to
