GRASS & WEEDS
For purposes of maintaining a beautiful and safe community, please comply with the HOA rule (2.32 Maintenance of Lots and Homes) requiring Members to maintain lots/ yards. All lot and home owners shall maintain their lots and homes in good repair. The accumulation on any lot of trash, debris, compost piles or tree and shrub clippings, shall be removed by the owner at the earliest possible time. Native grasses and tall weeds shall be mowed on a regular basis and maintained in a manner consistent with the natural environment of the surrounding forest and common area of Forest Highlands. As a reference point, grass and weeds on lots should not exceed knee height. If it is determined grass/weeds on a lot are a fire danger or unmaintained, the owner will be required to cut the vegetation, so it is safe and appears maintained.

BULKY TRASH & RECYCLING ITEMS
For members only, large items that do not fit in trash
receptacles, there are dumpsters available at the Public Works yard. The hours are Monday-Friday from 7am-3pm and weekends from 8am-1pm. Also, for members only, there are recycling bins located behind the Highlands Fire Station. Please do not throw trash in dumpsters

Department parking lot near the Mail Room and the other is located near the Bulk Trash Dumpsters Waste Management services the recycle dumpsters every Monday and Friday during the season and every Monday in the winter
BULK TRASH DUMPSTERS Located off of Paleo Place near the cell phone tower next to the Public Works and Wastewater Treatment buildings • NO Contractor waste • NO hazardous waste such as; paint, stain, light bulbs, electronics, computers or accessories, • NO appliances
HOME TRASH SERVICE Every Monday Cans must be at the street 6am
If the first dumpster is full, go to the second location.
Please be sure to break down cardboard boxes responsibly so everyone can benefit from the recycle services provided for the community.

PINE NEEDLE PICK UP All pine needle bags need to be stacked by address posts at the edge of the road before Tuesday, or Waste Management will leave them for the next pick-up day. Peak Season (May - November) Every Tuesday Winter season pickup (December - April) 1st Tuesday of each month
The dates may also be viewed at the bottom right corner of your water and sewer bill.
Please also know which items are recyclable and which are not. Do not put plastic bags or styrofoam in the recycle bin.
Please remember to place garbage cans on the edge of the street and not in the street so walkers, runners, and cyclists can easily navigate the community.
