WELCOME OUR NEW MEADOW FOOD AND BEVERAGE MANAGER; MARLEY ROSSI!
Hello, Forest Highlands Members!
I’m Marley Rossi, and I’m thrilled to start my first season as the Food and Beverage Manager at the Meadow Clubhouse. While I’m new to this role, my journey with Forest Highlands started four years ago. I began as an expeditor in the Canyon kitchen in 2021, moved up to a server in 2022, and last year, I took on responsibilities as an AM supervisor, gaining valuable managerial experience. I started working in restaurants at 16 and ever since, have appreciated the dynamic pace of service, the camaraderie with colleagues, and the sense of achievement after a busy night, which is why I believe I took to Forest Highlands so quickly. Originally from Mission Viejo, California, I thought I’d always be a beach person until I moved to Flagstaff in 2018 for college. In 2022, I earned a B.A. in Anthropology with a socio-cultural emphasis from Northern Arizona University. I wasn’t sure which direction to go after school, but I was sure about my love for learning, people, and pine trees. Transitioning from anthropology to Food and Beverage management might seem unconventional, but it’s a role I’ve come to happily embrace because I’m still given the opportunity to learn new things, take creative approaches, and ultimately create a positive environment for everyone to enjoy. I’m grateful for the opportunity to learn from my more experienced colleagues and for the growth Forest Highlands continues to offer me, allowing this beautiful place to become my second home—a feeling you all understand, and one I hope to sustain. Outside of work, you can find me hanging out with my cat Flapjack, enjoying the local scenery, or crafting under a tree somewhere. Despite my focused demeanor, I’m quite friendly, so don’t hesitate to come up and say hi, whether I’m on duty or enjoying my downtime.
I’m excited about this season and am looking forward to building deeper connections with all of you.
