LEADERSHIP
Todd Weber , Board President Patty Ashbrook, General Manager / COO
Welcome to the first issue of the Voice In The Pines for 2022. As noted in Todd Weber’s article in December, there are a multitude of activities available during the winter months both within your Forest Highlands community and in Flagstaff. Dining is available at the Meadow for dinner on Friday & Saturday, lunch on Saturday and brunch on Sunday, and we now offer Chili, Soup of the Day & our full bar on Monday &Wednesday from noon to 6pm. To keep your New Year resolutions on track, the Fitness Center is open daily from 6am to 8pm and Fitness Classes such as Yoga, Pilates, Cardio Boxing, Spin and many more are available in person daily or virtually on demand. After your workout or spending a day at Snowbowl, we offer relaxing Spa services such as massage and facials that can be booked daily from 8am to 7pm. The Family Recreation Center is also open daily with fun activities for the kids on Friday evenings and from 10am to 8pm on Saturday. As we look ahead to the summer months, your FH Leadership Team and Staff are actively engaged in developing new and exciting programs and special events. The summer season has many favorite events to look forward to including our three signature holiday BBQ’s and a new Food Truck event scheduled for Monday, July 4 at the Sports Park. Be sure to mark your calendars now for the Taste of Forest Highlands on June 11, Ladies Swingfest from July 12-14 and Men’s Highlander from September 15-17. The online calendar on the member website is currently being updated with all of the activities and programs and the official 2022 Season Calendar of Events will be available electronically in mid-March with the print version mailed out by March 31. As the Leadership Team prepares the Calendar of Events, they are also hard at work reviewing the results of the recent Member Survey and incorporating your suggestions and feedback for improvements and revisions to our operation as part of their Operating Season Plans for 2022. At the January 31 Board meeting, the consultants provided an in-depth review of the survey results. As the survey was so lengthy, we thought we would start by highlighting a few key points from the Executive Summary this month. We will then include specific topics, questions, answers and results in the VIP each month as part of the President’s and my GM articles along with a link to that specific section of the survey on the member website.
