Member Survey Executive Summary
The survey was sent to just over 1,600 individuals and we sincerely appreciate the 694 individuals representing 61% of total households that took the time to fill it out and provide comments and feedback. According to our consultants, “This response rate provides an accurate representation of the entire membership. For “mean” values most results will be within a +/- 0.1 range of error with a 95% level of confidence. That is, chances are 19 out of 20 that if all Members completed and returned their surveys, the means would differ from the sample results by no more than +/- 0.1. Regarding percentage responses, chances are 19 out of 20 that if all Members completed and returned their surveys, the findings would differ from the sample results by no more than +/- 3 percentage points.”

Member Satisfaction - Overall member satisfaction at Forest Highlands is Above Average compared to other clubs. Ninety-three (93%) percent of respondents are satisfied or very satisfied with the Club, compared to an average of 80% at other clubs. Fifty-five (55%) percent of respondents are very satisfied with the Club, which is 20 percentage points above the average of 35% at other clubs. Activity/Facility Importance - All but a few of Forest Highlands facilities and activities are important to a majority of respondents. The most important facilities and activities are those rated important by more than 80% of respondents: security, water and wastewater systems, roads, hiking/biking trails, golf courses, course restrooms, fitness facilities, clubhouses and dining at both clubhouses. Activity/Facility Satisfaction - For activities or facilities of highest importance to respondents, the McMahon Group recommends that clubs achieve satisfaction ratings of 4.0 or higher, with at least 75% of respondents satisfied and no more than 10% dissatisfied. It is a very positive survey result that Forest Highlands achieves this level of member satisfaction for all but one (course restrooms) of the activities/facilities that are most important to members.
