To All Regular and Special Members of The Forest Highlands Association:
BOARD NOMINATION ANNOUNCEMENT
Pursuant to Section 18, Article III of the Bylaws, this notification is a call for nominations, from the membership- at-large, for candidates for election to the Board of Directors of The Forest Highlands Association. Though not required, it is desirable for candidates to have some prior experience serving on any of the Forest Highlands Committees.
There will be (3) three-year terms commencing on January 1, 2023 and ending on December 31, 2025 and (1) vacant term commencing October 15, 2022 and ending December 31, 2023. Our Bylaws provide that the three candidates who receive the highest number of votes by plurality shall be elected to serve as directors for three-year terms. The candidate receiving the 4th most votes will be offered the opportunity to complete the vacant term on the Board.
Anyone interested in becoming a candidate for the Board of Directors should contact any member of the Board of Directors on the Board Contact Page or by email at FHGCBoard@fhgc.com to complete a Board Application form on or before Friday, August 19, 2022. Board applications can be found on the member website and by CLICKING HERE. DOWNLOAD THE FORM then fill it out, save it, and send it to Patty Ashbrook, General Manager at pashbrook@fhgc.com .
Any member who wishes to be included on the ballot for election to the Board of Directors must attend a Candidate Orientation Session. Candidate Orientation Sessions will be held in the Board Room at the Canyon Clubhouse on Saturday, July 23 at 2:00PM or Saturday, August 13 at 11:00AM. Please register to attend these sessions! If you are unable to attend either the July or August dates, one-on-one sessions can be scheduled with a Board member. The deadline for attending an Orientation Session is August 25, 2022. We have scheduled Q&A orientation sessions on July 23 at 2pm and August 13 at 11am for interested candidates!!! REGISTER JULY 23 REGISTER AUGUST 13
will be sent out by email on or before Friday, September 9, 2022 and voting will open at 9:00AM. Paper ballots will be available upon request through the Administration Office. Electronic voting will end and completed paper ballots must be received by 1:00PM on Saturday, October 15, 2022 to be counted.
