of you that haven’t met Garrett, he hails from North Carolina where he played 4 seasons for the Bobcats, majoring in Business before starting his career in tennis. He is the seasonal Head Professional for the Boca Bay Pass Club in Boca Grand, Florida. Garrett is the head of our Junior Development and Excellence Program, Adult Grassroots programming and will be available for private and small group lessons.
By far one of the most popular events will host at FH. You do not need a partner when signing up. You will be place on a team. Scoring is no ad. Six games total will be played. If you are tied at 3-3 a super tie-breaker will be played to 9 points. Substitutions are allowed while playing. The team with the most games wins the event. Appetizers and drinks to follow play. Registration closes July 9 TENNIS CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS Saturday & Sunday: July 30-31 TIMES: TBD Sign up for men’s and women’s singles, doubles and mixed doubles. If we have enough entries we will have divisions. Matches will take place to suit scheduling needs.

We had a fantastic turn out for our MEMBER/MEMBER with 9 ladies teams and 5 men’s team, all competing for the win. This year Amanda McCarthy and Ashley Valentine took top honors against the runner-up team of Susan Hamilton and Rachael Osmani in the Hernadez Division. Karen Engstrom and Katie Foster took top honors against runner-up team Danna Carney and Carlie Garcia in the Radadanu Division. The men’s division was won narrowly by Eric Engstrom and Bassel Osmani over Cole Stofflet and Joey Foster. It was a great day of tennis with perfect conditions. The men were so elated with their win that they opted not to have a photograph taken!

Our Wimbledon Doubles event takes place on Saturday, July 2nd. Come out and watch our members and their guests in all white and you may see a wooden racquet or two in the mix for bonus team points. Our next big event will also be the season party highlight, our World Team Tennis Event which takes place on Saturday, July 16th. We postponed our Orange/Green Ball Junior event due to the forecast. We have rescheduled this event for July 23rd. Our Future Star and Champions group will get a chance to play on modified courts with either the orange or green dot balls.
