Meadow lunches on Friday, Saturday, and Sundays only. Dinner service Tuesday thru Saturday with themed events thru Columbus Day weekend. After Columbus Day weekend The Meadow will go to Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday service only. The pool has been closed right after Labor Day with the cafe still open mornings. No schedule change for The Canyon in an effort to keep operational consistency through the end of the season. The grill at The Stone House also ended after Labor Day. Not enough sales to justify keeping it open after the holiday weekend. F&B Outlets Report The Canyon was slower than last year in the month of August, The Stone House and Cool Down Parties producing stronger numbers when compared to last year. Catering is up from last year with 5 House Parties and 1 Food Truck event. Special Events are also up over last year. Special Events in August include Eddie’s (always sold out) Cooking Class, The Wine Dinner, and the sold out Dueling Pianos. Meadow had a very strong August with sales up in all areas. New Business Mr. Russel is in contact with the Spanish guitarist Esteban. He is willing to do an event with Forest Highlands, but it must be in association with the Forest Highlands Foundation. If associated with The Foundation, the event fee for Esteban is $3,000 to $5,000. Mark took down the contact information and will investigate the possibilities of a future event. Finance Committee Assumptions The Finance Committee wants a “zero to limited dues increase”. Mark is proposing a 6% revenue increase coming from member usage and price increases. Increasing member usage proves difficult because dining rooms are often at capacity. Events are at capacity or setting records for attendance. Catering is an area to look at for extra revenue, but we face challenges related to the 14 th Hole project. Because of the extended duration of the project and the currently poor visual condition, the Catering Director is understandably having difficulties selling the venue space. Mark proposes to end the operation of the Food Truck to reduce expenses. ■ The Food Truck served its purpose for the time we had it but moving forward it will not be a part of our business plan. The House Committee recommends the sale of the Food Truck. Eliminating the Food Truck results in savings of $26,000.
