Every organization expects its employees to observe and maintain certain standards of conduct and values.

Servant-Leadership

Springs from a set of beliefs about reforming organizations that affirms our choice for service over the pursuit of self- interest. When we choose service over self-interest we say we are willing to be deeply accountable without choosing to control the world around us. It requires a level of trust that we are not used to holding.

The F&B Department believes in servant-

leadership and servant- leadership begins with the willingness to be accountable for some larger body than ourselves--

the Forest Highlands Community.

We also have a set of core service values that we have put in writing. The core values focus on service.

By publishing our values this allows the staff to hold the leadership team accountable for living up to what we say is important. Further, this allows each member of the F&B team to measure their every action against the service values. For us to continue to be successful, managing our service values is as important as managing any other aspect of our department.
