STEPS OF SERVICE OUTLINE
Introduction
-Always acknowledge new tables within 1 minute of being seated.
"Hello (Member Name) my name is (blank) and I will be taking care of you (today/this morning/afternoon/evening)"
-Actively greet members, *SMILE* ,make eye contact and speak clearly in a friendly manner.
Use member name whenever possible (at least 3 times) "Today's soup is (blank) and we our featuring (blank) for$"
- Begin the drink order (start with a lady)
"May I offer you/everyone something to drink?" (two suggestions, meal period specific, up-selling) Place cocktail napkin to the right of each person as you take each order
-At the final person, ask "Will everything be on one check today or separate checks?"
Whether it's one check or separate checks, obtain all Member Numbers and Last Names before leaving the table. You will need to enter a Member Number before you enter orders in the POS.
Delivering the Drinks
-Always place the order within 2 minutes of taking the order.
-Always serve beverages within 5 minutes (7 minutes for dinner) after they are ordered.
Always serve from the right side of the person with YOUR right hand. If not possible (i.e. conversation), serve with an OPEN HAND gesture (left side/left hand, etc.) Announce drink name when placing in front of guest. Ask if any menu questions "Are you ready to place your order or would you like a few more minutes?''
Take the Food Order
"Would you like to get started with an appetizer?" (dinner) -"Has everyone decided or would you like a few more minutes?”
-Begin taking the food order with the kids first, then to the ladies, then gentlemen.
"Would you like the kids food out first or with the other meals"
-Repeat orders back to the guest.
“Thank you. I will get this in right away.”
-Double check coursing and seat numbers to ensure timely service.
-Always place the order within 2 minutes of taking the order.
