Event Hourly Wages: $232,900 DECREASED
This is the hourly wage paid to our catering and event staff. The decrease is due to less catering events and using the event credits in this area rather than the dining room hourly. We also had several winter event projects in 2023 that we used the catering staff for that we will not need this year. This expense makes it easier to track hourly wages for cost controls and correct charging for internal “at cost events”. - Savings due to less off-season catering projects. - Event labor credits will be used in event hourly budget line in 2024. - Catering event staffing changes will be implemented.
Stonehouse Hourly Wages : $187,225 INCREASED
This is the hourly wage for staff at the Canyon Stonehouse, Canyon Hole One Café, Meadow Golf Snackbar, and the Pool Staff. The reason for the increase in this area was an error in how the Pool Snack-bar staff were paid in the past. The pool snack-bar staff were being paid out of the Dining Room Hourly expense line for the beginning of the 2023 season and part of the 2022 season. This was missed as we transition to a new timekeeping system. We have also added additional staff to the pool area to solve some service issues in 2022. Dinner Valet Service: $50,650 INCREASED Valet staff for dining rooms and special events. - The increase is due to the minimum wage increase. These employees are tied to the minimum wage. - There was a delayed start to the season this year. - There are some extra valet shifts now in October. - The Valet staff will help the event staff for weddings and events.
