2024 Forest Highlands House Committee

○ The Taste sold out at 500 members. This year, we had reservations available for a full week for members only. After that week, the members were allowed to register their guests. This allowed for approximately 490 members to acquire a reservation. ● Capitol Projects ○ The patio at the Meadow has been completed. A/V service at the Canyon has changed to a local company, any issues can be addressed in a day and no extra fees will have to be paid to bring a driver up from the valley or anywhere. The Stonehouse has a new grill. Some staff received new computers. We are building a new pool bar at the Meadow and the Meadow will also receive a new line freezer. New tents were purchased for holiday events. Hole 1 Cafe at the Canyon now has a new sink. ● Financial Report ○ There was not the usual dining at the Meadow this winter as the weather made it difficult to drive to Flagstaff. ○ The opening golf weekend was delayed, again, due to the long winter which delayed some food outlets opening as usual and we modified dining hours. . ○ Mother’s Day was a great dining experience. Build you own floral bouquets went over well. Next year we will look into also doing a smaller version of Mother’s Day at the Meadow. ○ We are now doing surveys after all events for feedback on how to improve our events. ● P&L ○ Cost of Liquor is slightly over budget early in the season as we purge some expired inventory. Kitchen labor is down as H2B arrived late so salaried staff covered additional hours. On the other hand, the dining staff arrived early and we had to keep them working while we waited for the full opening hours of operation. ○ Items for Board Action ○ None
