What an exciting time it is for our Club and for all present and future pickleball players! We are so very excited for the Grand Opening of our courts, which takes place on Sunday, July 9th. The expected date of completion (if there are no further snow delays) will be the middle of June. Though we will begin our season at the tennis courts, we will announce the date when shifting locations, closer to the time.
Our facilities will include: 8 post-tension courts, indoor and outdoor seated areas and beautiful protective landscaping. The Pro Shop will display merchandise and accessories and will allow you to relax in the lounge area while watching pickleball on the large screen t.v. We will provide a “grab & go” convenience station that will have an honesty registration sheet for drinks and snacks.
Pickleball Renderings
You can look forward to open play times for beginners, intermediates and advanced. We will keep Saturdays as our Clinic & Drill day. New this season is a Social Club League for the beginner to low intermediate as well as a Competitive Club League for high intermediate and advanced players. We will also offer a Doubles Flex League, allowing doubles teams to arrange matches throughout the season to suit their schedule.
Newly formed Facebook group of Forest Highlands Pickleball Players ; working together to create more opportunities for Forest Highlands members to come together to celebrate the game of pickleball. There is no charge to join this group. Contact Amy Kaplan amykaplan228@gmail.com if you would like to be added to the group. The group will be hosting our bi-monthly Mixers on a Thursday and will be advertising more events and socials on their Facebook page, once the new facility opens.
