SECURITY

ALL FOREST HIGHLANDS HOMES ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE AN ALARM SYSTEM THAT COMMUNICATES WITH FOREST HIGHLANDS SECURITY.

ALARM RULE: REQUIREMENTS – SUGGESTIONS

All Forest Highlands homes are required to have an alarm system that communicates with Forest Highlands Security. Home alarm systems must be programmed to: • Detect fire/smoke • Send automatic daily (24-hour) test signals to monitoring station The noted requirements are for the safety of homes and Community. The importance of “Daily Test signals” provides the monitoring station with a notification when a home alarm does not send its automatic daily test signal. When home alarms fail to send an automatic test signal, Gatehouse staff are notified of the instance and will contact the respective Member(s) to assist with having the alarm system communicate properly. The action(s) needed can range from rebooting the alarm panel/alarm communicator, resetting routers/modems, or needing an alarm company to conduct a service call. ***IMPORTANT*** If your alarm system uses a phone line, VOIP phone or internet to communicate alarm signals it is imperative not to place those services on vacation/holiday when departing for the winter season. Disconnection of an active means of communicating alarm signals to the Security Department will be considered a disconnection of the alarm system itself and the owner will be subject to violation procedures. If you are unsure of how your alarm system communicates, please contact Devin Holden, Assistant Director at dholden@fhgc.com or 928-525-5295 or Joe Gordon, Director of Security at jgordon@fhgc.com or 928-525-5290.
