DECEMBER VIP 2024

LEADERSHIP

Looking ahead to 2025, on behalf of your Board of Directors, I would like to take this opportunity to share the new dues & reserve capital payment structure for next year. Beginning January 1, 2025, your total monthly payments will increase from $1,410 to $1,500 (6.4%). This includes an increase in Club Operations and HOA dues, from $1,110 to $1,165 (5%), and an increase in our Reserve Capital Assessment, from $300 to $335 (11.67%). These adjustments were unanimously approved by your Board of Directors during our November Board Meeting. The increase in Club Operations and HOA dues is driven largely by expected increases in labor costs and overall cost of sales. This adjustment will allow us to absorb these rising costs without requiring an across-the-board increase in Forest Highlands prices, ensuring value for our members while maintaining the exceptional hospitality you’ve come to expect. Additionally, this increase supports our team’s ability to consistently exceed members’ expectations and provides the resources needed to effectively support Club Operations and HOA improvements. This also enables our Strategic Planning Committee to collaborate with Club Benchmarking as we embark on a vital three-year long-range planning process. The increase in the Reserve Capital Assessment represents a significant milestone, as it marks the first time the reserve fund will balance cash inflow with cash outflow. In prior years, the reserve fund depended on subsidies from the capital fund or reductions in its own balance, which depleted these critical resources. This thoughtful and strategic adjustment ensures we can fully fund all necessary reserve projects within the calendar year while establishing a strong financial foundation to meet the evolving needs of our aging infrastructure.

I am also thrilled to share exciting news about the Board’s recent decision to appoint Mr. Phil Smith as Forest Highlands Golf Club’s Golf Course Architecture Consultant. After a rigorous search process involving three highly qualified candidates, Phil stood out for his intimate knowledge of Tom Weiskopf’s work. This expertise ensures that as we address future course needs, we can “Preserve, Protect, and Enhance” the legacy of our

two highly celebrated and beloved Weiskopf-designed golf courses. We are confident that Phil’s guidance will serve our community exceptionally well for many years to come.

WHAT OUR MEMBERS ARE SAYING...

In closing, I want to thank you all once again for your warmth, support, and trust during my first year at Forest Highlands. It has been an incredible journey, and I feel truly fortunate to be part of this remarkable community. I wish you and your loved ones a safe, happy, and memorable holiday season, and I look forward to 2025 with great excitement for all the wonderful things we will accomplish together in the years ahead at Forest Highlands Golf Club.

Club Overall Great family environment. Excellent services for activities and golf. I will miss chef Eddie. The food and atmosphere at both the Canyon and Meadow are always superb. There is nothing that touches it. Fabulous staff, great food, wonderful concierge services and although I don’t play golf, I hear that the courses are the best.

Sincerely,

Doug Sutter General Manager / COO Forest Highlands Golf Club
